The 1 dollar Karma Charity of the Month will recieve 10% of the net profit from the sales of our thanks and gratitude.
Our target charity is a small grassroots organization where any level of donation will make a difference in its mission. We may start with larger more well known groups until we receive some suggestions.
The first ever Charity of the Month is Austin Pets Alive! This Austin, Texas based non-profit has led the charge in eliminating the killing of homeless companion pets. Austin Pets Alive will be the 1 dollar Karma Charity of the Month until we have net profit to donate from.
They have a 4 star rating with an overall score of 95% on Charity Navigator. Certainly, whatever donation we are able to make with our net profits will help build a little more good karma and joy in the world.
We are just getting started and are on the look out for charities that are small, grassroots and where a donation of any amount will make a difference in their mission. If you have any suggestions, email us at givethanks@1dollarkarma.com.
